TERAEYE’s SME-led approach is based on effective Partnership Integration, bringing together the necessary pool of expertise, human, capital and financial resources to achieve its ambitious objectives, through a consortium of 13 high tech SMEs and 7 research centers and large organisations, which have been carefully selected taking into account the need for integration of skills, knowledge, scientific excellence and exploitation capacities and ultimately the creation of critical mass in the highly fragmented, SME-dominated security and electronic industries.

C.Engineering (CENG) is an Italian engineering SME based in Rome which provides a wide range of consultancy services in energy, security, know how transfer, training activities and project management. CENG will act as overall coordinator of the project.

Royal Holloway University of London (RHUL) Nanophysics & Nanotechnology group has been established in 1995. DIFI Laboratory of University of Genova has 20 year expertise in developing cryogenic micro-calorimetric detectors working at sub-Kelvin temperature (0.05-0.1K), and adiabatic demagnetization refrigerators (ADR). LAHC is a laboratory of University of Savoie, founded in 1989. Its activities deal with ultrashort or high frequency electric signals, both in the microwaves domain and in the THz optoelectronics domain. The laboratory has developed methods and tools to achieve high-precision determination of samples parameters as absorption and refractive index. The role of LAHC in the TERAEYE project will be to study all the aspects of guiding THz signal from the focus plane (at room temperature) of the THz camera onto the cooled detector.

National Physics Laboratory is the UK's national standards laboratory, an independent center of excellence in research, development and knowledge transfer in measurement and materials science. The time and quantum detection team has a main research interest in precision metrology, especially quantum-based phenomena and determination of fundamental constants. VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is the biggest contract research organisation in Northern Europe.. VTT has previous experience on the THz radiation and cold read-out electronics. The VTT Microelectronic Centre (Micronova) contains a large clean room with a number of microfabrication facilities. These include a production line for superconductive electronic components utilizing niobium-based Josephson junction technology, as well as a set of design tools and a small number of scientists specializing in design of superconductive components. VTT will collaborate in the cold electronic design and realization.
